Rock The Vote: Polls For 'BioShock Infinite's' Reversible Cover Now Open

In light of the recent kerfluffle about "BioShock Infinite's" box art, Irrational Games boss Ken Levine promised fans that alternate covers would be available for download. Yesterday, though, Irrational upped the ante by promising that the box art will be reversible.

Irrational is now polling fans to determine what the alternate cover will look like, thanks to a nifty little poll on their website. Voting is now open, and a red, book-cover design is currently leading the way. My favorite, though, is still the last one, based on the Game Informer cover that announced the game in 2010.

If you don't like any of these choices, though, you still have the option of downloading and printing your own, writes Levine: "We're also going to be arranging a whole mess of MORE alternate covers … Of course, these are free."

While I think this recent box art controversy is a touch overblown, it's the most recent development in a trend of developers seeking out exhaustive fan feedback. It wasn't so long ago that BioWare was polling its audience about what the default FemShep should look like, and the outcry over "Mass Effect 3's" ending pushed the studio to release DLC addressing complaints.

"BioShock Infinite" was recently delayed to March of next year to allow more time for bug fixing and polish, but will eventually be available for PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360.
